The Norton Commando is a legendary bike which was produced from 1968 to 1977. It won the prestigious UK "Machine of the Year" award from 1968 to 1972. The Commando is highly prized as it was the final V-twin to be produced by Norton.
This was the first bike to have an Isolastic system which reduced vibrations from the powerful V-twin engine. The Commando had many popular models including the 750cc Fastback, the MKV version and the updated S-Type "Roadster".
Other models and variations include: Fastback MK2 or "Street Scrambler", the "Hi Rider", and the MK4. Following these models, were the MK2 850cc in 1973 and the MK3 850cc in 1975.
