This is a 1934 works 500cc racer that won every major event in New Zealand between 1935 and 1939. Prior to that it finished 3rd in the IoM TT and won the Ulster GP in 1934. In fact, this machine was a successful machine right up until 1966. Picture taken at the 2008 Classic Motor Show.
