I was 16 in the picture and lived in Chicago at the Time. It is very flat there so we had a place we go go and called it the hills! I was just having fun and a professional Photographer was out taking pictures of the fall foliage and just happened to stumble across me making jumps…
I was just a nut case kid on a big bike but he was a profession Photographer and smart enough to ask for my address. About a month later a letter arrived with a sample picture. My mother then ordered a couple of nice sized prints.. Of course as the years went by one of them were lost but I managed to keep this one intact..
Thought you might enjoy it! I ultimately sold the bike after School in western New York. I am currently living in western Ukraine and there is an abundance of Russian made bikes with side cars that one can pick up for 200-500 US dollars. They still use them today in the country as they are still very functional machines”
