1913/14 Rudge Multi Pictures
Add Your Photos! Many thanks to Gino Bolletta for this fantastic picture of her great uncle Ottorino Bolletta on his Rudge Multi. And thanks to Leon for the following comments: Rudges continually evolved during the veteran years – changes in specification occurred more often than just once a year. This one is late-1913 or early-1914. The oil tank is still in the front section of the petrol tank, but the previously hand-operated oil pump has is now operated by a cable attached to a foot pedal on the right. This set-up was announced for the 1914 range in late October 1913. By May 1914, a separate oil tank would have been fitted behind the saddle tube. Similarly the skinny 26 x 2 ¼ tyres on this machine (22” rims) would change to the more robust 650 x 65 voiturette tyres (21” rims) by early 1914.
