This photo was taken at the Autumn 2004 Stafford bike show. Its a 1933 596c model although it was actually registered in 1932. In fact, it was the first bike to leave the factory of the new single down-tube models that were introduced in 1933. They were also fitted with a new detachable cylinder head and foot operated gearchange. And thanks to Ron Daniels advising that according to Scott club records that in late 1934 they changed to detachable cylinder head and a foot change add on extra was available, so the bike cannot be quite as early as first stated.
