1940s Panther Pictures

Thanks to Wendy Collins of Oz for this picture of her father taken in approx 1942 with his Panther motorbike. Can anyone identify the model? Sadly the bike was taken by the New Zealand Army (photo taken in NZ) during the war years and never returned – much to his despair upon returning home from the war.
