Thanks to Jim Kanka for this nice old picture. It shows his Dad (Charlie Kanka) sitting on a bike. He was a driver for the 78 Bulk Petrol company, R.A.S.C attached to the 8th army. On the rear of the picture, he inscribed: "Snap taken on German motorcycle which we picked up at MERSA MATRUK its a BMW damm good bike". Dated September 1943. Is this a BMW or in fact a Zundapp?
