1954 CZ Walter 350cc OHC Pictures
Add Your Photos! Many thanks to Martin Dasek of the Czech Republic for this picture taken at the Czech National Technic Museum in Prague. After the second world war, Jaroslav Walter made a series of 250 and 350 engines for racing motorcycles, initially starting with OHV and then followed by OHC engines. Indiviudual riders then mounted these engines in their own frames and provided their own gearboxes. This example is a 350cc engine mounted in a frame from a supercharged Jawa 500. After the nationalisation of Walter’s works he joined CZ and continued with the production of racing engines. Bikes from this time are known as CZ Waltersand later as simply CZ.
