Nice bike…tank is a bit flashy for a Velo. I had a 1954 model back in the day. The oil tank was in the normal position and it had an inch +one eighth Aman 10TT9 carb. The original models has engine numbers prefixed MSS then the number then suffix S (mine was MSS 11133S). The rear sprocket was part of the brakedrum (60T). Top gear was just about the same ratio as a Vincent bottom!
The tank is just great looking.

I had a 1956 scrambler MSS12035S. After the riding the first year I sent the engine to Lou Branch in Cal and he reworked the engine. Wow what a change when it came back.I rode scrambles in the midwest untill 1962.with that bike it was a fun machine sure would like to find it back or another scrambler.
Looks too good to scramble.
