1955 MM 250 SOHC Pictures
Add Your Photos! Thanks to Roger Moss for this picture. Roger bought the bike years ago from Terry Haines who was then trading as Moto Vecchia (before Jack Lilley bought him out). The story goes that MM made 5 works racers for the 1955 long distance race season, ie for Milan,Tarranto etc. He said the one rich man, Snr Malotti always bought an extra machine to full works spec privately. This is the bike that Roger bought. It had had a big end failure, but as an engineer, Roger was able to rebuild it. He had intended to race it and had bought it from a photo. However when I got it, I realised it was not suitable for Vintage Racing and it was too historic to chop about, so it is now used as a road bike. 250 cc SOHC 9500rpm 27bhp engine confirmed as full works engine by MM expert Tozzi
