Gilera 124 4v, this bike was made between 1965 and 1972 although it was dated for registration as a 1964, I was later told by the Gilera Registro Storico who did a bit of research for me that the bike was sold to the state in Rome in 1970 and was used presumably by the polizia stradale due to the colour. I bought the bike in Italy and got it MOT’d and registered, the bike is very comfortable to ride and pulls away very well in first gear, it’s top speed isn’t much though, but all that can be expected from a small four stroke. The bike is in good original condition and I’ve not needed to do anything with it yet.
