Sure was great seeing your 74 H2 in green. I had one identical to it. It was all stock. I had ordered some “Denco” expansion chambers for it…unfortunately it was stolen from my driveway, way back in August of 1977. I had to cancel that order. I will never forget…it was the same day that Elvis died. Two “heroes” gone the same day, what a bumber!!
Shortly after that, I purchased a used1974 H2 (brown and butterscotch colors). It had a “Denco” 120 HP Cobra kit. That was one “scarry” bike. What awesome power it had. The fuel pump froze and seized the engine. Needless to say, my luck was not very good with those darn H2;s. I then had three different H1 500′s over the next several years. Then I got married…then they were HISTORY!
Oh well…life goes on…
I have something that you may be interested in. It is a large sew on patch. It is the same H2, same green color. It probably measures five – six inches tall, by eight or ten inches wide. It is still in the same plastic covering that I purchased it in, back in 1975 from my local dealer. It is in mint, pristine condition. I have kept it preserved for 37 years now, it is like family (ha,ha) to me.
I hate to sell it, promised myself that I would keep it until I bougt another one. Unfortunately, I am in the real estate business in South Florida, and I am “starving”
I think I will need to get at least $150 dollars for it. This may seem a little steep…however there are NONE of these around, especially brand new. I can take a picture of it and scan to you, if you would like to see it for yourself!
