Bill Mundy on a Manx at what is believed to be Brough in around 1956.. Thanks to Richard Mundy for this picture. Richard is Bill’s son. He was killed in an accident on a grass track sidecar in 1957, the week before he was due to go to the I.o.M TT as passenger to Bill Beevers, Richard was just 8 at the time. He started racing before the war (Richard still has some medals from pre-war Donington) and continued after he returned from the war. Richard can remember him racing a 350 Velocette and a 500 Manx at Cadwell, Brough, Oulton, Esholt Park, Alton Towers!, Osmaston Park and Scarborough. If anyone has any memories, information or pictures of Bill, Richard would love to know.
