A bike with a nice bit of history… Originally is was an ex-works bike riden by Keith Hickman. It was then bought by Steve Mcqueen bought and taken to America. When they made the movie “On Any Sunday” he came out to Australia to promote his movie and brought the Cheney with him as a promotional exhibition . Before he left they raffled the bike off to raise money for charity. The person that won it was from Adelaide and apparently didnt like bikes and it was sold to a bike shop. Many years later it was found laying behind a shed on a farm and has since been fully restored.
