The day Florian died on the track at Brands Hatch, 5 minutes before, he was drinking coffee in the back of my fathers van, as my father was also a racer named Lance Harding. The last thing he said to my father was, ” this is my race, see you after I finish”, my father said, ”ok Florian, have a good race mate”, of course, the rest is history.
I recall this race dicing with pip harris for the lead, sadly his crash on clearways is still with me, if I recall his passenger was franz ducrat who survived ..
