2 pictures of a so-called Commando Caferacer, “So-called” because in fact only engine and gearbox are Norton and the bike has a home-cast Manx type rearwheelhub. Frame, engine plates and oiltank are all stainless steel. Front end is Metisse. Primary drive is a belt-drive, also home-made as is the primary drive housing. Geometry is exactly like the Featherbed Nortons. No isolastics are fitted. Total weight is around
145 kilos. Steering behavior and roadholding is perfect. Vibration is slightly heavier than an Norton Atlas. Owner/builder is my friend Wim Verleijsdonk of Deurne, Holland.

Wim now has also ideas about fitting an ES2 engine in this frame which will certainly look impressive.
