Can anyone help Peter Hearne in identifying the bike in this picture? The rider is Peter’s father with his cousin on pillion.

A few years back I had a 1925 Rudge Whitworth 500cc single cylinder twin port 4 valve head,which looked like the bike in your photo. maybe.
