Many thanks to Allan Sørensen for these pictures of his father, Svend Aage Sørensen, sitting on his Excelsior Mechanical Marvel at Saxtorp, Sweden in 1934. Svend won this race and also competed in the IoM TT 25 times between 1935 and 1953. The second picture shows his father sitting on the bike, dealer Chr. Hedtoft and the president of Danish Excelsior-Henderson Co – Alan Bruce, who rebuilt the bike for this race – and the mechanic Christensen is sitting. As far as Allan knows, four of these bikes were built – and this one was the only one fitted with a rev counter.
