1936 BSA R5 Empire Star Pictures

Thanks to Brian Howell for this picture of his 1936 350cc BSA R5 Empire Star.  Made only for the 1936 season this was the first real sports bike that BSA made since the early 1920s. For the next season, a redesigned engine was fitted to this model and this eventually became the M24 Gold Star.

  1. I also have a Empire Star. Mine is a type Q8, 500 cc, 1936 mod. Do you have any pictures or extra parts i might be interested. Mine is almost complete, missing elektrical wiring. I also might need a transmission and chainguard.

    I am a guy from Norway and i have owned the bike since 1991 and still restoring.
