Thanks to John Patt for this picture of his first bike – a 1947 Speed Twin (no lights and no dynamo so believed to have been used for road racing)
I have recently acquired Lucian T Hood,s 47 Speed Twin which is being carefully tweeked by Leif Lewis of Wagner Lewis Clutch fame. I had a Speed Twin with raised exhaust back in the early 60,s and always thought this was non standard – interesting if this was an option!
Have a great life – it would not be the same without Speed Twins.
