Many thanks to Gordon Ferguson of Spikkestad, Norway for this. It’s a bike bought by his friend recently. Thanks to carlos Frits for identifying it as a Konsul. It’s been fully restored and I’m sure you’ll agree looks fantastic.
I was the happy owner of a 1956 NSU Konsul 500 cc back in 1959. I bougth it from my uncle when I was 18 years old. It was my second motorcycle. Now after 25 more bikes owned, of many makes, ranging from 50 cc to 1.100 cc I still remember my Konsul with a warm feeling.
Congratulations!!! It is a wonderful motorcycle. You are also very lucky because in Scandinavian territory there are a lot of Konsul motorcycles with other brand name as Svalan or Svecia. NSU Konsul was my father’s first motorcycle and I am very happy I found one and restore it. Take a look to http://www.nsu.gr.
