Are you sure on the name of your bike as having owned an A65 lightning in the seventies, twin carb. I remember the A50 (500cc) being named the Thunderbolt and The A65 being the lightning. I enjoyed my few years with the bike and traveled across Europe together. Great picture by the way.
Thunderbolt Rocket was American. English model was a Rocket the 500 I think was the star. Think they became the Thunderbolt and Lightning in 66. Definitely looks alot different to my totally original 64 Thunderbolt Rocket
