This has been an excellent Motorcycle. It has over 100,000 miles on it. Has been road double from Wis. to the west coast. A 5780 mile trip in 15 days. Also road it double to New Orleans. It has been in Canada and around Lake Superior. And a lot of other short trips, like to Davenport Iowa for the antique Bike Races. That is always a yearly trip. Yes, I am still riding it.
I still have this bike. It runs very well. It needs a head gasket. And will be on the road next spring. I am 81. The 1980 E model was a well-built motorcycle. Rode very good with two people on it. My wife and I rode it from Wisconsin to Washington State. Then to California and back. It was a 15 day trip, 5500 miles. Can’t do that anymore. but still, take it on short trips. I also have a 1982 GS750T it is a one-up motorcycle. Doesn’t hold a candle to the E model for touring. But it is fun to ride.
