Thanks to Mike Would for this picture, taken in 1983. The Yamaha DT50 was tuned and did 55mph, the MT50 ended up with an h100 engine and a modified exhaust – so it looked standard. Colin’s schoolmates couldn’t understand how it was faster than their fsies!
Like my friend and I about 22 years ago!
My friend had a mt50, I had an Yamaha DT50, wich always had a bad clutch handle and other issues.
I think the honda was a better quality bike.
